HCHS Class of 2027 Field Trip to AMNH

On May 17th, the class of 2027 went on a class-wide field trip to the American Museum of Natural History. There were community building activities for the 9th grade students and the trip supplemented the 9th grade biology curriculum. The visited the Invisible Worlds exhibit along with options to visit the Hall of Biodiversity, Hall of Gems and Minerals, and the Insectarium.

A very special opportunity to the planetarium was shared thanks to Dr. Jackie Faherty, Senior Scientist and Senior Education Manager jointly in the Department of Astrophysics and the Department of Education at the American Museum of Natural History, led HCHS’s entire 9th grade on a tour of the known universe.

Special thanks to Biology Teacher Ms. Gonzalez and Class Advisor, Ms. Termini and Science teacher Mr. Murtaugh for the program connection, and especially all the chaperones for making this terrific trip possible.
